Sitting on the couch of the popular night show in the USA and opening a bottle of beer, Kamala Harris, the candidate of the Democratic Party, was a guest last night (early Wednesday morning, Israel time) on Stephen Colbert’s Light Night program and answered questions regarding the burning issues of the current election campaign.
With less than thirty days to the close elections, Harris spoke, among other topics, about the war of iron swords and emphasized the need to end the war that has been going on for a year: “We must get a cease-fire agreement and hostages as soon as possible.”
She also said: “This war must end.” It must end. We cannot lose faith in this possibility, because then we raise our hands instead of rolling up our sleeves.’
Moderator Colbert asked her about hearing that such a deal was “closed” several times and wondered about the meaning of the term, Harris replied: “The meaning is that we agreed on the clauses of the agreement, but there remain several unresolved issues. There is some progress, but it is meaningless, unless the whole deal is reached.’
