The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released an overview of the last 24 hours of combat in Gaza against Hamas. According to the new figures, more than 50 terrorists were killed in Jabalia, in the north of the enclave, where Israeli troops have been operating for the last six days.
“The military eliminated more than 50 terrorists, including those who fired anti-tank missiles at troops. The forces also located large quantities of weapons, including AK-47 rifles and ammunition,” the IDF statement said.
Israel resumed its offensive in Jabalia on Sunday, under the justification that the intelligence service had discovered that members of Hamas were trying to regroup in the area.
This is the third ground operation in the region since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip more than a year ago, and was accompanied by evacuation orders in other parts of the north, such as Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia.
