The armed wing of Hamas announces a “major ambush” against Israeli troops in northern Gaza

The armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Ezzeldin al Qassam Brigades, announced this Thursday that they have successfully carried out a “large ambush” against tanks and Israeli Army troops deployed to the east of the city. from Jabalia, in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Thus, it has confirmed that a convoy made up of twelve vehicles and a truck of the Israeli forces have been hit by the explosives, according to information collected by the Palestinian newspaper ‘Filastin’, related to the armed group.

“Afterwards, our fighters advanced towards the ambush area and killed the remaining soldiers using light weapons,” said the militia, which confirmed that several soldiers who were trying to flee were also attacked.

For its part, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry has condemned the “continuous crimes” perpetrated by Israel, which it accuses of carrying out “ethnic cleansing” in the Palestinian enclave. In this sense, he has denounced Israel’s attacks against civilians and the “deliberate actions aimed at mass displacement, collective punishment and the siege of an entire population in northern Gaza,” he indicated in a message broadcast through X.

“The objective is to isolate this area from the rest of Gaza and impose full Israeli control over it,” the Ministry has warned, pointing out that Israel considers that war “is the only solution to achieve security” and, therefore, will continue to block any efforts to end the conflict.”

Previously, Israeli forces have said they have killed dozens of gunmen in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours as part of an operation in Jabalia. Among them, they have stressed, are militiamen who “had launched anti-tank missiles against Israeli troops.”

The Army has seized weapons, grenade launchers and ammunition, as he explained, before pointing out that in the Rafá area they have managed to locate and destroy weapons and underground tunnels used by suspected terrorists.
