Aachen (NRW) – She did not agree with her daughter’s choice. For this reason, the Syrian Rakeza A. (52) is said to have decided to kill her child’s fiancé. On Thursday, the mother, along with two other children who are said to have been involved in the crime, had to appear before the Aachen regional court for attempted murder (NRW) appear.
Fatima, the defendant’s daughter, had been in a relationship with the Syrian Abd Alhadi (26) for four years. Rakeza was against this relationship from the start. According to the prosecution, she is said to have disliked her daughter’s partner because he came from another part of Syria.
They sought out their partner with a knife
When the two even got engaged, the daughter moved in with her boyfriend and planned a wedding for April 1st, this was apparently the last straw for her family. Armed with a knife, Rakeza A. is said to have visited the daughter’s partner together with her daughter Nora A. (34), her son Haitham A. (33) and another son, who is currently in Belgium.
The victim could only be saved thanks to emergency surgery
On March 20th they are said to have waited for their victim on his doorstep. When Abd Alhadi went out, they allegedly attacked him and with a knife stabbed him. One of the perpetrators is also said to have kicked him between the legs and shouted that he was no longer a man and could now marry Fatima. The perpetrators are said to have only fled when the 26-year-old was unconscious on the ground. Abd Alhadi suffered life-threatening injuries in the attack and could only be saved thanks to emergency surgery.
On the first day of the trial, Rakeza A., who can neither read nor write and has never worked since fleeing Syria in 2015, remained silent about the allegations.
Her daughter Nora also did not want to comment in court. Her son Haitham denied being involved in the crime. The process is scheduled to continue for another four days.
