The President of Iran at a meeting with Putin announced “similar positions of Moscow and Tehran”

On Friday, October 11, negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian took place in Ashgabat. This was their first meeting since Pezeshkian’s election.

Pezeshkian noted “the similar positions of Moscow and Tehran in the international arena.”

“Our positions in the international arena are similar,” the Iranian president said at a meeting with Putin.

In addition, Pezeshkian noted the “sincerity of relations between Moscow and Tehran” and also “expressed hope that he will be able to take part in the BRICS summit in Kazan, to which he was invited by the Russian president.”
