Hundreds have been gathering since 6 p.m Islamists on the Hamburger Steindamm in the St. Georg district, directly behind Hamburg Central Station: The radicals want to hold a three-hour rally under the motto “Stop the genocide against our Uyghur brothers and sisters in East Turkistan.” More than 2,000 participants are expected.

The registrant for the rally is again Joe Adade Boateng (25, “Raheem Boateng“), Hamburg student and leader of the Islamist movement. Boateng is one of the heads of “Muslim Interaktiv”, an Islamist organization that is closely linked to the banned “Hizb ut-Tahrir”. The Office for the Protection of the Constitution has been monitoring “Muslim Interactive” for a long time.

The rally started at around 6:20 p.m.! Hundreds of police officers are on duty in the city of Hamburg, and water cannons are deployed at the hate march.

Demand for Caliphate

A police spokesman told BILD: “There was an intensive examination of the assembly authority, also with a view to a possible ban on the assembly. Since the right to freedom of assembly enshrined in the Basic Law is a cornerstone of our democracy, an assembly can only be prohibited under special conditions, e.g. B. if life or limb is at risk. The examination by the assembly authority has shown that a ban is not possible.”

But there are strict requirements for participants in the Islamist hate rally: any “prohibited symbolism and criminal offenses in connection with approval or glorification of the attacks Israel“are prohibited – among other things. burning Israeli flags or questioning Israel’s right to exist.
