Mirzoyan will participate in the “3+3” format match in Istanbul

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will participate in the third meeting of the “3+3” regional consultation platform. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ani Badalyan, stated this in response to “Azatut’s” inquiry.

The meeting will be held on October 18 in Istanbul.

“3+3” is a regional cooperation format initiated by Turkey and supported by Russia after the 44-day Karabakh war. It assumes the participation of the three South Caucasian countries – Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan – as well as the three powers of the region – Russia, Turkey and Iran.

Georgia has announced that it is not joining the platform due to conflicts with Russia.

In 2021, the first meeting at the level of deputy foreign ministers was held in Moscow. In 2023, the foreign ministers met in Tehran.
