Zelensky presents “victory plan” to Ukraine’s Parliament

The so-called “Victory Plan” by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, asks allies for sufficient weapons and political decisions to allow his country to carry out new operations against Russia, as revealed this Wednesday (16) by the president before Parliament.

Zelensky explained that the second point of the plan consists, among other things, of a list of the weapons needed to reinforce Kiev’s positions and bring the war to Russia in a way that prevents the creation of “safety zones” for enemy troops in Russia. Ukraine and for Russian public opinion to “feel” the consequences of the war and increase its pressure on Vladimir Putin’s regime.

This second point of the plan – which consists of four other sections – also includes, as expected, the request to Ukraine’s partners to lift the ban on the use of the long-range weapons they supply against targets located in Russia.

Another requirement of the document is that Ukraine receive sufficient anti-aircraft defenses to safely protect itself from Moscow’s attacks.

The “Victory Plan” also requests that Kiev’s allies provide it with “real-time” intelligence information about Russia in order to undermine the enemy country’s war potential.

Kiev also asks that European countries neighboring Ukraine, that is, Romania and Poland, participate from their territory in shooting down Russian drones and missiles inside Ukraine that approach their airspace. Other details of this point in the plan were not revealed by Zelensky so as not to “compromise its effectiveness”.

Zelensky condemns regimes in Iran, North Korea and China for supporting Russia in the war

When addressing Parliament this Wednesday, President Zelensky criticized regimes that have supported Russia during the invasion, such as China, Iran and North Korea. The Ukrainian president described them as a “coalition of criminals”.

“We are at war with Russia on the battlefield, in international relations, in the economy, in the information sphere and in people’s hearts,” Zelensky said.

The president of Ukraine emphasized that the dictatorship of Kim Jong-un, of North Korea, is “in fact” entering the war on the side of Russia, information that was discovered by the Ukrainian intelligence service. “Pyongyang has already sent troops and weapons to Russia,” he said.

Kremlin considers Zelensky’s plan “illusory”

The Kremlin on Wednesday classified the Victory Plan presented by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “illusory” and said that to achieve peace in Ukraine, Kiev must first “come to its senses.”

“For many weeks there has been talk of an illusory peace plan. Most likely it is the same American plan to fight with us to the last Ukrainian, which Zelensky camouflaged and called a ‘peace plan,'” said Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, at his daily press conference.

According to Peskov, Kiev must “come to its senses and understand the reasons that led to the conflict in Ukraine.”

“There may be another plan, a truly peaceful plan, based on Kiev’s understanding that the policy it is adopting has no future,” he declared.
