The foreign ministers of Armenia and Turkey had a meeting

The foreign ministers of Armenia and Turkey met within the framework of today’s meeting of the “3+3” consultative platform held in Istanbul.

According to the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan and Hakan Fidan discussed the continuation of the dialogue aimed at the full regulation of relations between Armenia and Turkey, and regional developments.

Minister Mirzoyan reaffirmed the importance of implementing the agreements reached in the process.

The Turkish side only conveyed that during the meeting the two ministers discussed bilateral relations and the settlement process.

In his speech, referring to the Armenian-Turkish settlement, Ararat Mirzoyan listed the previous agreements, none of which, by and large, were implemented. In particular, that Armenia has completed the construction of the Margara border checkpoint, in addition, the parties have agreed to jointly assess the technical requirements for crossing the border with the Gyumri-Kars railway. Ararat Mirzoyan did not talk about the agreement to open the border for citizens of third countries.
