Israel showed video of Yahya Sinwar, head of Hamas, in a Gaza tunnel hours before the October 7 terrorist attack

Two days after he was killed, the Israeli army published a video this Saturday showing Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in a tunnel in the Gaza Strip hours before the brutal terrorist attack of October 7, 2023.

The video shows Sinwar with his children and wife walking towards a hideout where the Hamas leader appears to be storing supplies before the deadly attack on Israeli territory, according to military spokesman Daniel Hagari.

Israeli authorities announced Sinwar’s death this Thursday, a day after being killed by soldiers in southern Gaza.

“You can see how Sinwar and his family escape through a tunnel located under his house the night of October 6, hours before the terrible massacre,” army spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a meeting with the press.

And he added: “They are left alone for hours. Sinwar and his son they go up and down with food, water, pillows, a TVmattresses and other things for a long stay.

For his part, another spokesperson indicated: “Sinwar hours before the massacre of October 7: lowering his television into his tunnel, hiding under his civilians and preparing to see his terrorists murder, kidnap and rape.”

The army also released a video showing an Israeli tank firing at a building where, according to Admiral Hagari, the leader of the Islamist movement had taken refuge.

Yahya Sinwar had not been seen in public since the start of the war in Gaza, triggered by the October 7 attack.

Persecuted by the Israeli army, he was named political head of Hamas after the death of Ismail Haniyeh on July 31 in Tehran, a murder attributed to Israel.

The autopsy revealed that Sinwar died from a bullet to the head, according to the New York Times.
