Israel attacks naval base and kills elite Hezbollah terrorists

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) again attacked this Tuesday (22) numerous installations of the Shiite terrorist group Hezbollah, in Beirut, including the base of its naval unit, where they stored boats and a training center, according to a statement military.

“The naval unit’s speedboats were intended to be used in attacks against Israeli Navy ships and against naval and strategic targets within Israel’s territorial waters,” the IDF reported.

Next to this base, Israeli aviation attacked several of the group’s weapons warehouses and command centers, some of them underground. Among the places attacked were the vicinity of the Rafic Hariri hospital, in the Lebanese capital.

This Tuesday, the Israeli armed forces recorded 230 attacks against Hezbollah targets across Lebanon, including three command centers belonging to its air unit responsible for launching drones.

The IDF confirmed the deaths of two members of the Radwan force, an elite Hezbollah unit, in an airstrike in southern Lebanon. “During the activities, two members of Hezbollah’s Radwan force, armed with an RPG rocket launcher and a rifle, fired at troops from a building,” said a military statement about the clash, shortly before the aircraft strike.

Since the start of the ground incursion, 16 Israeli soldiers have died in combat in Lebanon.

This Monday (21), the Israeli Army targeted the Sahel General Hospital in Beirut, where, according to the IDF, a Hezbollah bunker was identified, in which the Shiite group had stored more than US$500 million. in gold and banknotes.

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said Israel had been monitoring the hospital “for a long time” and would not attack its facilities “per se” but did not elaborate on upcoming operations there.
