Antony Blinken will visit Saudi Arabia instead of Jordan

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who is on a tour of the Middle East region, was scheduled to visit Jordan on Wednesday, October 23. A source in the US State Department told reporters that there had been changes in the schedule: instead of Jordan, Blinken would go to Saudi Arabia.

According to the source, the topic of negotiations in Riyadh will be the normalization of relations with Israel.

Note that this is Antony Blinken’s 11th visit to the Middle East since the start of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.

On October 22, the Secretary of State held talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.
