The head of cabinet of the Ministry of Culture Spano resigns. "Personal attacks, I can’t stay"

The head of cabinet of the Ministry of Culture, Francesco Spano, has resigned. Spano himself explains the reasons in a letter addressed to the minister Alessandro Giuli.

“With painful reflection I have determined to resign to you from the role of Chief of Cabinet of Culture with which you wanted to honor me – writes Spano – the context that has been created, not without unpleasant personal attacks, no longer allows me to maintain that serenity of thought that is necessary to carry out this important role. In the exclusive interest of the Administration, therefore, I consider it my duty to take a step back. This obviously does not prevent me from expressing my profound gratitude for your esteem and the support he showed me without hesitation.”
