Argentinian police raid hotel where Liam Payne died

Argentinian police on Wednesday raided the hotel where former One Direction singer Liam Payne died last week. The American tabloid reports this US Weekly.

The police of the city of Buenos Aires are said to have raided the Casa Sur Hotel in the city on Wednesday in search of more information about the death of Liam Payne (31). The singer fell from the third floor balcony on October 16 and died.

As part of their raid, they sought documents in the hotel’s registration books and information on its computers. Insiders tell US Weekly that “the hotel should provide more security camera footage” after the tragedy. The police are also said to have been present at the hotel to find out who was working at the time of the incident.

According to Daily Mail the police would like to identify a staff member who may have sold drugs to the singer before the dramatic events. Prosecutors said last week they believed Payne was “in a state of semi- or complete unconsciousness” during a drug-induced “psychotic episode” when he fell. Investigators have already indicated that they do not suspect the involvement of ‘third parties’ in the fall, but are looking for the possible dealer. The hotel has not yet responded to reports that a staff member may have been involved.

Earlier this week, Liam’s father had already informed the public prosecutor that he wanted to know what exactly happened to his son. He is therefore willing to make statements about Liam’s lifestyle.

The singer’s body has still not been released because necessary toxicological tests are still underway. Further investigation of his telephone and laptop, among other things, is also necessary, it said.
