Mountain rescue services and rescue workers were alerted on Wednesday evening. A man made a desperate emergency call after his partner fell down the rocks on the southern side of the mountain.

As the Accident What happened was that the duo from Poland were on their way to the top of the mountain on a difficult section – but without suitable equipment. The lack of safety and protective equipment was the couple’s downfall.
A spokesman for the emergency services explains: „The woman remained motionless after the fall. Her partner was stuck above her.”

The man who is further up the Berg was unable to rappel down to his injured wife. He simply didn’t have the right tools for it. The urgently needed help only arrived when the rescue workers arrived.
