Armenia launches its first artificial satellite into space.  Pashinyan

Yesterday, at 22:35 Yerevan time, Armenia has launched its first artificial satellite into space. The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced about that today during the government sitting.

The satellite was launched in the United States From SpaceX, Cape Canaveral by company spacecraft: As a result of cooperation between the Armenian state “Geo Cosmos” closed joint-stock company and the Spanish “Satlantis” company.

Noting that Armenia is entering the era of space activity, Pashinyan stressed that one of the primary goals is the localization of space technologies and the organization of the production of space devices in Armenia.

According to the Prime Minister, by the end of the 23rd, a satellite control center-receiving station will be established in Armenia, around which a scientific-practical team of specialists will form.

“It is planned that the receiving station will provide satellite data receiving and transmission services to other satellite operators. “The photos taken by the satellite will be used in Armenia in the fields of border control, emergency prevention, management, environmental protection, including climate change monitoring, urban development, road construction, geology,” he said.
