Elections in Georgia. The ruling Georgian Dream won, the opposition does not recognize the election results

The Georgian Central Election Commission is completing the counting of votes in the parliamentary elections. Judging by official data, after approximately 99% of the votes have been counted, the ruling Georgian Dream party is in the lead by a significant margin, gaining more than 54% of the votes.

Also, the following opposition parties are entering parliament (having overcome the 5% electoral threshold): “Coalition for Change” – about 11%, “Unity-National Movement” (Mikheil Saakashvili’s party) – 10%, “Strong Georgia” – 9%, “ For Georgia” – 8%.

Even before the results were announced, opposition parties announced that they would not recognize the results of the elections in Georgia. Such statements were made by the leader of the Unity-National Movement party Tina Bokuchava, the leader of the Coalition for Change party Nika Gvaramia and others.

Nika Gvaramia stated: “The election fraud scheme has been deciphered, the public will learn detailed information about it on October 27. The elections are stolen. This is a constitutional coup, “Dream” is the author of the constitutional coup and will be brought to justice in the manner prescribed by the legislation of Georgia. We have deciphered the scheme of how how the elections were stolen.”
