“Trump or Harris? No preferences, both pro-Israel”

Hezbollah “has no hope in the American elections or in the victory of one of the two parties, be it the Democrats or the Republicans, since when it comes to Israel, American politicians work only in its interest and for its benefit.” Hezbollah deputy in the Lebanese Parliament, Ibrahim Mousawi, stated this in an interview with Adnkronos on the eve of the vote in the USA. “Even if there are variations in style, both (Trump and Harris) have the same goal,” clarifies Mousawi, who then speaks of possible Iranian retaliation for the attack conducted by the Jewish state on October 26.

“The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, has announced very clearly that there will be retaliation against Israel. I believe that when (the Iranians, ed.) say something then they do it and for this reason I think that Iran will certainly respond to the aggression Israeli”, underlines the Hezbollah deputy, according to whom the Islamic Republic has every right to “avenge” the violation of its “sovereignty” and its “airspace” by Israel as well as the killing, which took place in July, of Tehran, by the then political leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh.

Mousawi therefore claims that the new leader of Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, “as he clearly announced during his recent appearance on TV, when he addressed the people and public opinion, will continue to implement all the plans studied and accepted by our former Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah. The strategy and objectives are the same as his predecessor, inshallah.”

While fighting continues in Lebanon and initiatives continue to try to reach an agreement on a ceasefire, Mousawi finally highlights that “as everyone knows” on the negotiations Hezbollah is “in total agreement and coordination” with the president of the Lebanese Parliament and leader of Amal (party allied with Hezbollah), Nabih Berri. “Hezbollah is currently on the battlefield and continues its defensive battle against the Israeli occupation which continues to occupy our land, carry out genocide in Lebanon and annihilate our villages, targeting hospitals and killing civilians,” he concludes the deputy of the Shiite movement, noting that since the beginning of the Israeli attacks “more than 3 thousand civilians” have lost their lives and over 10 thousand have been injured.

“We are working to stop the aggression against Lebanon, we want a ceasefire to be implemented, but we are busy on the battlefield and President Nabih Berri is leading the negotiations,” summarizes Mousawi.
