In his role as a national security advisor, he was involved in promoting the Abraham Accords and strengthening security cooperation between the United States and Israel. He also led efforts to increase pressure on Iran, a move seen as positive in Jerusalem.

At the same time, O’Brien’s high-profile success in freeing rapper A$AP Rocky from detention in Sweden, in his role as a hostage envoy, strengthened his position. Among the Republican Party, he is seen as a clear supporter of NATO and Ukraine.

Bill Hagerty

Hagerty represents the interesting incarnation of the traditional Republican establishment. As a graduate of the Bush Sr. administration and an early supporter of Jeb Bush, he made a sharp transition to supporting Trump after 2016. After his support for Trump, he was appointed to the position of US Ambassador to Japan (2017-2019), a position in which he was praised for his ability to bridge the direct style of Trump to the traditional Japanese protocol.

Hagarty stood out as an ardent supporter of Israel since entering the Senate. On key policy issues, Hagerty expressed strong support for Israel’s positions. He was one of the prominent supporters of Trump’s decision to move the American embassy to Jerusalem, and also supported the American recognition of Israel’s sovereignty in the Golan Heights. After the terrorist attack on October 7, Hagarty stood out with his clear voice in support of Israel. He led calls in the Senate for full support for Israel and its right to self-defense, and was one of the first to demand immediate American aid to the Israeli war effort.

Marco Rubio

Rubio, the senator from Florida, is considered one of the strongest supporters of Israel in the Senate. He led many legislative initiatives in favor of Israel, including a law to combat the BDS movement. Rubio also worked vigorously against anti-Semitism in the United States and supported increasing security aid to Israel. His close relationship with the Jewish community in Florida is well known.

Also, Rubio is known for his rigid approach to foreign policy issues, with an emphasis on Cuba and Iran. As a senator from Florida, he managed to juggle his loyalty to Trump and his activities to strengthen NATO, while maintaining a balanced position on the Ukraine question.

Mike Waltz

Waltz, a former special forces man and Florida representative in Congress, has expressed consistent support for Israel and its security policies. He is an enthusiastic supporter of military and technological cooperation between the United States and Israel, especially in the context of dealing with regional threats. Waltz also expressed strong support for Israel’s right to defend itself against terrorist threats.

In addition, Waltz stood out as one of the strongest voices against China’s rise. His support for aid to Ukraine, along with his demand for tighter supervision of funding, reflects the balanced approach he represents.
