A court in Moscow liquidated the “Together Against Fascism” foundation

The Timiryazevsky Court of Moscow liquidated the “Together Against Fascism” foundation due to refusal to provide reports on its activities, RIA Novosti reports.

As follows from the court materials, the fund for helping victims of Nazism and fascism “Together against fascism” has not provided reports on its activities since 2019, in violation of the legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as information on the personnel of governing bodies and documents on the expenditure of funds and the use of other property, according to a RIA Novosti publication. In addition, the Russian agency said in a statement, the defendant has not posted activity reports on the relevant information portal of the Ministry of Justice for five years.

The Hans Waltz Together Against Fascism Foundation was created in 2016 with the goal of uniting people to help victims of Nazism. According to the foundation, in Russia at that time there were over 140 thousand “minor prisoners of concentration camps, of which almost 60 thousand had disabilities.” The foundation’s website stated that the organization “creates conditions to prevent fascist ideology from coming to power.” The president of the fund was Alexander Zabara.

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation demanded the liquidation of the charitable foundation “Together against fascism.” The corresponding claim was filed with the Timiryazevsky Court of Moscow on June 13, 2024. Then the president of the fund, Alexander Zabara, told the channel “Caution, News” that he was under pressure because of foreign funding. The Ministry of Justice recently demanded that Zabara bring additional documents about the activities of the fund, but he did not do this. Then the ministry, according to him, said that they would close the fund through the courts.

Zabara also told Beware the News that due to funding problems in recent years, the foundation was unable to organize the traveling exhibition “Toys from the Concentration Camp,” which it toured in various countries from 2018 to 2021. Many organizations that were ready to support the project have already closed. Negotiations were held on the removal of the exhibition from the Russian Federation to Germany.
