“Children’s non-childish question”
Poet and performer of her songs Veronika Dolina was detained at Moscow Zhukovsky airport “for attempting to import potent narcotic drugs into Russia.” According to the SHOT Telegram channel, Dolina arrived in Moscow from Tel Aviv on Tuesday, November 12. During inspection at customs, she was found to have painkillers Ivalgin, Tramadol, Sumatruptan, as well as medications containing codeine and brotizolam.
The publication notes that Veronica Dolina explained that the pills for which she was detained at the airport were ordinary painkillers for personal use. When leaving Israel, according to SHOT, the Valley did not declare these medications. The poetess was detained, and after interrogation she was released on an undertaking to appear.
The issue of initiating criminal cases under Articles 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the smuggling of potent substances and drug smuggling is being resolved. Under these articles, Dolina could face up to 20 years in prison.
