The French government is working to keep Israel away from the Paris Air Show
Although the French government failed in its attempt to keep the Israeli companies away from the prestigious maritime exhibition “Euronaval”, yesterday (Friday) a representative of the French government filed an appeal with the Administrative Court in Paris – with the aim of overturning the decision that prohibited the exclusions. The goal of the Elysee Palace is to keep Israeli companies away from the Paris Air Salon, one of the most prestigious exhibitions in the world that will take place in June.In the appeal, the representative of the French government claims that the administrative court is not authorized to decide and rule on policy decisions of the French government, and therefore the court’s latest decision to allow the participation of the Israeli companies in the exhibition should be annulled. In response, the industrialists’ association announced that they would continue to fight in court with the French government.

At the already ended Euronaval exhibition, the petition of the Association of Manufacturers, Israel Shipyards and the Israel-France Chamber of Commerce resulted in the participation of Israel Shipyards, Rafael, Orbit, DSIT and ORCA AI among the Israeli companies.
Israel Shipyards presented at the exhibition the Mini Sheldag, a battle boat only 20 meters in size. This is intended for coast guards and security forces and navies that work in rivers and lakes. A mini skeleton is a new development with high speed, which is able to maneuver in low water – while being mounted on it. Advanced communication, detection and weapons systems. Along with this, the new S80 model battleship was presented, a fast vessel that is expected to enter the Navy’s service in the coming years. The ship is intended for complex operations at sea.

At the same time, Rafael introduced Typhoon-type remote-controlled weapon stations, capable of intercepting unmanned aerial vehicles, while the Orbit company presented an extremely small satellite antenna weighing only 10 kg, which is intended for submarines, communication for speedboats and communication for land vehicles.
“We are sorry that the leaders of France did not understand the hint already on the previous occasions, which is that we will not allow anyone to remove us or make us disappear from the international security arena,” said the president of the Association of Manufacturers, Dr. Ron Tomer. “It is clear to us that the latest appeal is an attempt to prepare The ground for the possibility of preventing us from participating in the famous Paris Air Salon right now, but we won’t let that happen.”
