Two rockets hit the yard of Netanyahu’s private residence: ‘He wasn’t there’

Two rockets were fired at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea and landed in the courtyard of the house, Israeli security services announced Saturday, calling it a “serious incident.”

“Around 7:30 p.m. (local time), two rockets fell in the yard in front of the prime minister’s residence,” the police and the domestic Shin Bet intelligence service announced.

“The prime minister and his family were not in the residence,” they added, condemning “a serious incident that represents a dangerous escalation.”

This is not the first attack on this residence. On October 22, an unmanned aerial vehicle was fired in the direction of the residence and hit a “structure” in Caesarea, the Prime Minister’s Office announced.

Netanyahu, who was not there at the time either, accused “Hezbollah, an ally of Iran,” of “trying” to kill him and his wife. Three days later, the Lebanese Islamist movement, backed by Tehran, claimed responsibility for the attack.
