She baked her two young sons alive in an oven. Now Lamora Williams (31) from Atlanta (US state of Georgia) has to go to prison for the rest of her life.
October 2017. The mother pokes the heads of Ke’Younte (2) and Ja’Karter (1) one after the other loudly Targeted “knowingly and intentionally” into an overturned oven in her home, turning it on. The children die within an hour of each other.
Live video for horrified father
Shortly before midnight, Williams calls the children’s father and starts a live broadcast. Jameel Penn later told WSB-TV about the sight of his boys lying lifeless on the floor: “It was like a real horror movie. It was Friday the 13th.” He immediately called 911.
Almost immediately, Lamora Williams also picked up the phone and dialed 911. Her claim to the rescue workers: She came home after work and found her sons, whom she had placed in the care of a caregiver, dead.
Abstruse: An overturned oven was lying on top of one of her sons. Than that police arrives, the bodies of Ke’Younte and Ja’Karter lie on the ground with severe burns.
Children die from exposure to heat
Autopsy reports said the boys died after being exposed to “prolonged heat” from an oven.
“I don’t want to be locked up because it’s not my fault. “I had just come home from work,” asserts Lamora Williams. She also pleaded not guilty in court.
The jury doesn’t follow this. Also because Williams’ third son is testifying against his mother. Now, seven years later, the jury finds her guilty on 14 charges – including murder and cruelty to children. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Lamora Williams has no possibility of parole.
