There is no privilege for Artsakh citizens in the unified ticketing system. opposition member of the Council of Elders

Mesrop Manukyan, a member of the opposition “Mother Armenia” faction of the Council of Elders, noted today during the regular session of the Yerevan Council of Elders that there is no special privilege for those displaced from Artsakh in the package of privileges offered to users of public transport after the introduction of the unified ticket system.

The package of privileges was presented by the deputy mayor Suren Grigoryan at the session.

Grigoryan responded, noting that the government implements many support programs for them.

The unified ticketing system will be implemented in January, as soon as 171 new buses enter the routes. According to the Yerevan Municipality, from January 1, the ticket package for 30 days will cost 8 thousand 800 AMD, 23 thousand 600 for 90 days, and 88 thousand AMD for one year. In all cases, the number of trips will be unlimited. There will also be a daily ticket: 280 and 300 AMD for 90 minutes. Only one citizen can use one package.

The opposition called the adoption of the unified ticket system, accompanied by heated discussions, voting boycotts and protests, a project to raise the price of transportation.
