Iran slightly slowed down its production of uranium to 60% purity – close to the military use level of 90% – but continued accumulating this material and now has 182.3 kilos, the International Atomic Energy Agency indicated this Tuesday (IAEA).
In a confidential report to which EFE has had access, the IAEA reports that the production of 60% purified uranium, which generates the most international concern, increased by just over 10% compared to August, compared to 16% in the previous quarter.
In the document, the IAEA need that Tehran produced 17.6 kilos of 60% uranium and 25.3 kilos at 20% in the past three months, once again violating the nuclear agreement signed in 2015 with five world powers (UK, China, France, Germany, Russia and USA) to limit its nuclear program in exchange for lifting certain sanctions.
