The Kremlin: “Russia’s special military operation will continue”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, said that the “special military action” – the war in Ukraine that began with the Russian invasion, is being prolonged because it began as a war against the “regime in Kiev” and now continues against NATO.

“When it started, it started against the Kyiv regime. And now it continues as a war between Russia and NATO. That’s why it took a little longer, and it will take a little longer,” Paskov told the Indian news agency ANI. “I don’t think it’s possible to answer the question of when it will end, but the only thing I can say is that it will end as soon as we reach our goals,” the Kremlin representative added.

Peskov reiterated that the Kiev regime rejects the possibility of negotiations with Russia. “It was a special presidential decree by Zelensky that forbade any president of Ukraine to negotiate with the Russians,” he explained. “That is why we continue our military action, because the possibility of peace negotiations is now rejected by both Kiev and their rulers in Washington,” the Kremlin spokesman emphasized.

Meanwhile, the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky He announced to the parliament a 10-step national resilience plan designed to strengthen the country’s resilience in the fight against Russia. During his speech on November 19, Zelensky made it clear that Ukraine will stand firm in the face of any threat and will not give up its sovereignty or security.

“We do not trade in security and we do not give up sovereignty,” Zelensky said. “We will not give up our right to our full territories,” he even referred to the future of Russia by saying: “We may have to wait for someone in Moscow to get off the stage, but we are moving forward.”

“While the world is waiting for a miracle, we need to work,” said the president, addressing a clear message to the citizens of Ukraine and the world: Ukraine’s struggle is a persistent struggle for its rights, sovereignty and future.
