Verónica Abad – Daniel Noboa: Suspended Vice President returns to Ecuador to claim the right to assume the Presidency

The suspended vice president of Ecuador and ambassador to Israel, Veronica Abadreturned to the country this Wednesday to vindicate his right to temporarily assume presidential functions as contemplated by the Constitution, when the head of State, Daniel Noboaask for leave for the electoral campaign.

Abad, who maintains an open confrontation with Noboa, traveled to Israel almost a year ago to assume the duties of ambassador appointed by the ruler, and since then she had not returned to the country.

“Here I am, Ecuadorian people, to show my face in my country, which has forbidden me to speak, I have been kept almost chained, practically locked in a hotel in Türkiyein Ankara“, he told the press at the international exit of the airport in Quito.

Abad noted that they have left her in “total helplessness” with the “abrupt sentence as part of the illegal and illegitimate administrative summary” that the Ministry of Labor opened to him.

On November 9, that Ministry sanctioned Abad with 150 days of suspension, without pay, for “unjustified abandonment of work for three or more work days“, considering that he did not arrive from Israel to Türkiye on the date established by the Government, at a time when there was an escalation of tension in Middle East.
