The emerging Trump administration reacted strongly to the warrants for Netanyahu and Gallant
After the sharp reactions in Israel to the decision of the criminal justice in The Hague to issue arrest warrants for Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, now comes a similar reaction from the future United States administration.Mike Waltz, the national security adviser in the emerging Trump administration, reacted to the drama in The Hague and the scandalous decision by threatening the Criminal Court and the United Nations as a whole. “The Criminal Court in The Hague is an untrustworthy body and these accusations have been refuted by the American administration,” Waltz wrote online X, “Israel has legally protected its citizens and borders from terrorists who advocate genocide. Expect a strong response to the anti-Semitic bias of The High Court and the UN in January.”

Waltz’s reaction and his support for Israel against the background of the decision of the Criminal Court in The Hague is not surprising. Before his election to the position of National Security Advisor, Mike Waltz was known as a distinct supporter of Israel, who holds hawkish positions towards its enemies, in particular Iran and Hamas. He previously told the “Jewish Insider” that “B should put more pressure on Hamas and Iran and imply that Israel should have attacked the Iranian nuclear project.

On the other hand, several countries have already announced that they will enforce the orders, including the Netherlands and France. If the other 122 countries that are members of the Rome Convention react similarly, the Prime Minister and the former Minister of Defense will be expected to be arrested if they try to enter them. Among other things, these countries include Canada, most of Western Europe and most of South America.
