Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem gave a speech to militants and supporters of the terrorist group in which he commented on the progress of negotiations with Israel.
In his speech, Naim Qassem repeated the words of his predecessor as Hezbollah Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah, that any strike on the Lebanese capital would entail a retaliatory strike on Tel Aviv
Commenting on the situation in the organization after a series of Israeli assassinations of high-ranking members of the group and commanders on the ground, he said that “Israel’s attacks were painful, but Hezbollah has already recovered from the losses it suffered.”
Speaking about the ongoing negotiations with Israel, Naim Qassem said that Hezbollah does not intend to stop fighting during the negotiations. According to him, until the agreement is signed, shelling of Israeli territory will continue. He also stated that Hezbollah would never agree to the IDF retaining freedom of action in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem planned to speak yesterday, November 19. But, as a representative of Hezbollah’s political leadership told Al-Jazeera, Hezbollah’s secretary general postponed his speech due to the threat to his security.
