Russia: Milena (17) bitten to death by pigs – she wanted to feed the animals

She was supposed to look after the pigs on her family farm – it cost her her life.

November 23, 2024, a barn in the village of Ushanka in Russia. Because her parents went to the city, Milena Shevelyova (17) is now tasked with feeding the animals on the farm. She dutifully goes into the stable – only to be knocked over by a “large aggressive female pig”! This is reported by the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, among others.

Young Russian woman attacked by pigs

The eleventh grader falls to the ground and loses consciousness. Then these terrible scenes: “All the other pigs attacked them,” reports the British newspaper “The Mirror,” citing local media. Accordingly, they inflicted several wounds on the teenager’s head and body.

When her worried parents can’t reach her by phone, they ask one of their daughter’s friends to check on Milena. She finds the young woman’s body around midnight and, shocked, calls neighbors for help. Paramedics are alerted and drive to the scene of the accident. That’s where they put it Tod from Milena.

The specific cause of death: blood loss. The pigs tore open the young Russian woman’s femoral artery.

Could the tragic accident have been prevented? “The parents said that Police, that the pig has always been angry and aggressive,” writes “The Mirror” about the animal that knocked Milena down.

The public prosecutor’s office is investigating the incident and initially announced on Telegram: “The circumstances that contributed to the tragedy are being clarified. If there are (corresponding) reasons, all necessary criminal measures will be taken.” Criminal proceedings for negligent homicide have now been opened.
