Deputy Minister of Finance Eduard Hakobyan will be appointed the chairman of the SRC

Earlier, the press wrote that the head of the State Control Service (SSC) Romanos Petrosyan will replace the former president Rustam Badasyan. Although Petrosyan also said that “he has not received such an offer at the moment, and there is no such discussion.”

Badasyan announced on November 18 that he had written an application for release without providing any clarifications. A day later, by the decision of the government, he was relieved of his post.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan clarified that he himself asked a number of high-ranking officials to leave their positions, assuring them that the dismissals are not personal, but systemic, which he talked about.

At the November 15 session of the government, the prime minister expressed strong and sharp displeasure with the law enforcement system, stressing that he does not see the results of reforms in the judicial and law enforcement structures, and his patience has run out.
