The Lebanese army has called on residents of southern Lebanon not to rush to return home, despite the ceasefire coming into force. Earlier, the Israeli army made the same call to the Lebanese.

“The Lebanese Army command calls on citizens to delay their return to border towns and villages occupied by Israeli forces until their withdrawal is completed, in accordance with the terms of the ceasefire,” the statement said.

Since the morning of November 27, traffic jams have formed on the roads leading to the south of Lebanon, as well as to the Bekaa Valley. Despite the warnings, residents of Shiite settlements are rushing to return home as soon as possible.

According to the UN, as a result of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, about 1.3 million Lebanese residents have become refugees. US President Joe Biden, announcing a ceasefire, announced 300,000 refugees.
