General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: 29 out of 50 Russian drones were shot down. Russian Ministry of Defense: 35 Ukrainian UAVs intercepted

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that on the night of December 4, 2024, the Russian military fired 50 kamikaze UAVs “Shahed-136/131” (“Geran-2/1”) and unidentified drones, as well as an X-59 guided missile, into Ukraine /69. Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 29 drones launched by the Russian military. Another 18 “martyrs” were lost locally in the regions of Ukraine, one left controlled airspace in the direction of temporarily occupied territory.

Interceptions of air targets were carried out in the Kyiv, Kharkov, Poltava, Sumy, Chernigov, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, and Nikolaev regions.

The Russian Ministry of Defense, in turn, states that on the night and morning of December 4, 35 Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs were destroyed and intercepted on the territory of the Russian Federation. Interceptions were carried out over the territory of the Rostov, Bryansk, Belgorod, Ryazan, Astrakhan, Kaluga, Kursk regions and over the territory of the Krasnodar Territory.
