Mavs and Thunder continue on the road to success

The Dallas Mavericks have achieved their seventh win in a row in the North American professional basketball league NBA. Without the ill Maximilian Kleber, the Mavs won against the Toronto Raptors with 125:118 (70:54).

Luka Doncic shone with another so-called triple double, scoring 30 points and also had 13 rebounds and eleven assists. Among other things, Doncic managed a three-pointer from just behind the center line with the clock running out in the first half. The Mavs’ other two star players also impressed, Kyrie Irving scored 29 points and Klay Thompson 20. Thanks to its winning streak, Dallas is now in second place in the Western Conference.

Hartenstein with double double

The best team in the West is the Oklahoma City Thunder with Isaiah Hartenstein. The German center had twelve points and rebounds as well as five assists in the 119:109 (77:51) win over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Thunder’s best thrower was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 31 points. World champion Daniel Theis was again missing from New Orleans due to neck problems.

German rookie Ariel Hukporti scored nine points in his New York Knicks’ 111:120 defeat against the Detroit Pistons, more than ever in his first season in the NBA.

The Washington Wizards achieved a surprising victory. The weakest team in the league won 122:113 after 16 defeats in a row against the Denver Nuggets – despite 56 points from Denver’s star player Nikola Jokic.
