Verstappen has to face punishment for swearing in Rwanda

Max Verstappen will serve his sentence for swearing during his stay in Rwanda, where the big gala with world championship honors is taking place this Friday. The responsible International Automobile Association announced this late on Sunday evening after the Formula 1 season finale in Abu Dhabi.

“During his stay in Kigali, he will work with young drivers as part of the grassroots development program organized by the Rwanda Automobile Club,” the FIA said.

A so-called Cross Car, which was developed by the local club based on FIA plans, will also play a role. The umbrella organization did not disclose details of what Verstappen should do in his “work of public interest”.

It’s not the first time it’s happened to Verstappen

Verstappen spoke about the behavior of his Red Bull at the Grand Prix in Singapore in September and used the English word “fuck”. The race stewards subsequently punished this.

Around six years ago, Verstappen had to do community service after a scuffle against Frenchman Esteban Ocon. At that time, the now 27-year-old four-time world champion was sentenced to spend two days at the Formula E race in Marrakech as an observer with the stewards.
