A plane crashed into the Caland Canal in the Dutch city of Rotterdam on Sunday. That says a spokesperson for the Rijnmond Safety Region. Victims are being sought.
Debris with the registration number of a small aircraft was found on the spot. In addition, items of clothing were found.
Emergency services have arrived and are looking for one or more victims. No one has yet been found among the debris. On the basis of the registration number, the emergency services try to find out what kind of device it is.
