Ukrainian missiles on Russian airport, Moscow’s response

The Ukrainian armed forces today, December 11, launched six Atacms missiles against a Russian military airport in Taganrog in the Rostov region. The complaint comes from the Russian Defense Ministry, which promised to “respond” with “appropriate measures”. Two missiles were shot down and the other four were deflected. Two buildings and three military vehicles damaged.

The fall of fragments of the destroyed missiles caused casualties among the base personnel. “This attack with long-range Western weapons will not go unanswered“, reads a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry.

Russia and the next Oreshnik launch

Russia could soon hit Ukraine with another Oreshnik missile, an American source quoted by AFP anticipated. “Russia has signaled its intention to launch another Oreshnik missile being tested against Ukraine, potentially in the next few days“he said. Russia had informed the United States shortly before the first launch of the Oreshnik last month, against a military factory in Dnipro, with a communication channel between defense ministries.
