Mishustin will meet with the prime ministers of CIS and EAEU countries in Moscow

On December 12 and 13, the meetings of the prime ministers of the CIS and EAEU countries will take place in Moscow, headed by the Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin.

According to TASS, Mishustin will discuss issues of mutual trade development, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation against the backdrop of Western sanctions, with the CIS prime ministers. And the issues of deepening economic integration are also on the agenda of the meeting with EAEU partners.

It is expected to approve the 2025-2026 priority activity plan in the field of humanitarian cooperation of CIS member states.

The participation of the Armenian side in the meetings has not yet been officially announced.

However, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a decision on December 6, according to which Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Ambassador of Armenia to Belarus, Permanent Representative of Armenia to CIS Statutory and other bodies will be sent to Moscow from December 11 to 13 to participate in the meetings of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS States and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. representative Razmik Khumaryan, deputy foreign minister Mnatsakan Safaryan.

Against the backdrop of worsening relations with the CSTO, although Yerevan boycotts the meetings of Moscow-led structures, it has announced that it values ​​cooperation with the CIS and EAEU, noting that the CIS is a platform for cooperation that benefits Armenia. and “it is in the same economic zone with the Eurasian Economic Union”.
