Donald Trump wants to begin drastically changing the policies of his predecessor Joe Biden on the first day of his presidency.

In the first few hours after his swearing in on January 20th, he is planning a flood of more than 25 executive orders and directives, according to the news agency Reuters learned from several insiders. They should particularly target these areas immigration and Energy.

When Trump first became US president in 2017, he issued only a handful of such orders on the first day. With Biden, on the other hand, there were 17 in one fell swoop when he took over from Trump in 2021. Most were aimed at reversing policy decisions made by the first Trump presidency.
