Sources in the rebels in Syria: “We will disband from all the militias”

The leader of the rebels in Syria, Abu Muhammad al-Jolani, referred to Israel for the first time yesterday and said: “We have no intention of entering into a conflict with Israel. After the departure of the Iranians, there are no more excuses for any external intervention in Syria.” According to al-Jolani, the Israeli claims about a threat are unfounded, and do not justify the recent violations of Syrian sovereignty.

However, Al-Jolani emphasized that “building and stability are the top priorities, and not being dragged into new conflicts that will lead to more destruction.” He called for diplomatic intervention to put an end to the violations of sovereignty in Syria.

Fahd al-Masri, an opposition figure and former spokesman for the Free Syrian Army, who serves as the head of the Syrian National Salvation Front, told N12: “The new Syria will not under any circumstances be hostile towards Israel or any neighboring country, and will not be a transit station to the Amlah and a base to extremism and terrorism.
