Putin at the board of the Russian Defense Ministry: “The West is bringing Russia “to the red line””

Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in a meeting of the expanded board of the Ministry of Defense. According to him, 2024 has become a landmark year in achieving the goals of the “special military operation.” 189 settlements were taken under control.

The head of state said that the number of Russian armed forces has reached 1.5 million people, and more than 1,000 contracts are concluded with the Ministry of Defense every day.

Putin said the number of American troops in Europe had reached 100,000. “US plans to deploy medium- and short-range precision missiles are cause for concern,” he said, threatening to lift restrictions on the deployment of such missiles in response.

“The West is bringing Russia “to the red line,” Moscow cannot but respond,” Putin emphasized.
