Assassination attempt on Russian general: trial for “terrorism”

Two days after the fatal attack on the high-ranking Russian army representative Igor Kirillov The public prosecutor’s office in Moscow opened an investigation on Thursday against the suspect who was arrested the day before.

Kirillov killed in scooter explosion

Kirillov, commander of the Russian troops to defend against attacks with radioactive, biological and chemical warfare agents, was killed in the explosion of the scooter, and one of his employees also died. Shortly afterwards, the Ukrainian secret service SBU claimed responsibility for the attack.

Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged mistakes by the intelligence services in connection with the attack at his annual press conference on Thursday.
