California’s decline is the work of Soros, says former Democrat

After Donald Trump’s electoral victory in November, the governor of California, Democrat Gavin Newsom, called a special session of the state legislature to shield the state from the policies promised by the next American president. Top of the agenda: Newsom’s effort to stop the second Trump administration from deporting illegal aliens living in California, a state considered lax on this issue.

“This goes against the rule of law and against the will of the American people who elected Trump,” says Silicon Valley businesswoman Allison Huynh about Governor Newsom’s plans. She has become an active voice on the American right, appearing on TV and podcasts.

The Democrats who control California have “romanticized” sanctuary cities, illegal aliens and even crime, says Allison, who in the past raised funds for Barack Obama’s candidacy and the Democratic Party.

“We are just opening the gate and allowing in all these illegal immigrants, many criminals, drug traffickers, and all of this is financed by George Soros and the cartels,” says the entrepreneur, referring to the Hungarian-American, liberal investor political activist and donor. Soros-funded candidates for district attorney, considered soft on crime, won elections in cities in California and other states.

A narrative perpetuated in California justifies crime in the name of kindness to the poor, she says, but the reality is that “we are basically frogs being cooked alive.” Allison grew up under the communist regime in Vietnam until the age of 7, when her family moved to the United States. Now, the businesswoman, who resides in San Francisco, says she is watching her state embrace “complete socialism.”

Allison Huynh participated in the most recent episode of The Daily Signal Podcast and explained how he understands that Governor Newsom’s actions would be moving California towards socialism. She also gave her opinion on whether there is still hope for her state. Below are the main statements that Allison made to the podcast The Daily Signal.

The governor’s wrong ideas

“Why do we need to protect California against Trump, as Governor Newsom wants? The majority of Americans voted for Trump. Outside of big cities, like San Francisco and Los Angeles, California is red (the color of the Republican Party). We want change. There is a national mandate to make our streets safer, to plug the immigration hole. The state government says we are exaggerating, that there is no problem. A huge convenience store in my town just closed its doors. The Target store near Stanford University, where all the kids went after class, just closed. Why? Because of the robberies. We have big problems in the area of crime, illegal immigration, drug overdoses. Gavin Newsom is ignoring all of this.”

Artificers of chaos

“I’m an immigrant, I arrived in the United States legally, I didn’t get ahead of anyone in line. My father fought with the American military forces. We fought for democracy in Southeast Asia as best we could. Then we waited and I was able to become an American citizen. My father and the entire Vietnamese community are very pro-Trump because we fight against socialism and communism in Asia. We know the wounds of communism. California is opening the doors and letting all illegal immigrants in. Criminals, drug dealers… And it’s all funded by George Soros and the cartels. If you follow the money, several promoters are funded by giant technology companies, Bill Gates, Google, George Soros. They want this chaos in California.”

Crime continues to rise

“My daughter suffered violence in Los Angeles. She is a nursing student. The district attorney, who was funded by Soros, did nothing. In my favorite neighborhood in San Francisco, which is a kind of new Chinatown, where many Asian-Americans own businesses, crime is constantly rising. There were 21 thousand robberies in the last two years alone. You call the police and no one does anything. This is the price we pay for this experiment that the government and its financiers are carrying out, which is Marxism. In the end, it is communism. Turbulence, strange things happening. They want to change the name of Abraham Lincoln High School because it would be racist, since he freed the slaves. I see these things because I grew up in a communist country until I was seven years old. My family managed to escape, but I talk to a lot of friends from Venezuela, from Cuba, and if you come from a Marxist place like that, you know very well where this is going.”

Romanticized view of bandits

“The other day I was on a large avenue here and I saw drug traffickers from Honduras operating. I was cycling with a friend and we went to see a show. We put locks on our bikes, but when we returned, they had been stolen. San Francisco became a war zone. When I complain, they say I’m exaggerating, that California is beautiful, a sanctuary like Rome, founded by immigrants. It’s a romanticized version of cities and thieves, like in the novel Les Misérables, by Victor Hugo. They say that criminals need this food to feed their families, so why should they go to jail for stealing a loaf of bread? This is pure socialism. We are moving towards becoming a communist state. There’s nothing romantic or idyllic about it. That’s why I divorced the Democratic Party. They don’t listen, they don’t experience the problems.”

Hope for the coming years

“I’m an optimistic person, I went through hard times in my country. We will persevere, just like President Trump. He’s been through two assassination attempts, a bunch of indictments, but he’s a warrior, Americans are tough to fall on. When they kick us and knock us down, we don’t go to therapy. We fight! And sometimes we make jokes. I’m an American, a hard worker, and the next few years are going to be great. California has a lot of natural resources, a lot of talented people in Silicon Valley where I am, a lot of creative people there in Hollywood, inspiring films. Gavin Newsom will be gone in two years. It is important that Californians stand up and say that they no longer accept the state going down this path. We have a lot of legal immigrants here, whether from Asia or those Banana Republics in South and Central America. The more we raise our voices, the more likely we are to return to common sense. We are a Judeo-Christian nation. We have to follow these principles, not those of Marxism, which are romantic principles, but at the end of the day, they only benefit the wealthy, the great rulers and their financiers.”
