Syria: A mass grave is found in Hama with seven bodies, according to NGO

He Syrian Observatory for Human Rights pointed out this Friday that a mass grave with seven unidentified bodies, some of them with remnants of military uniform, has been found in Hama (center of Syria), the first in the province of a series that have been found in the country after the overthrow of the deposed president Bashar al Assad.

According to the Observatorythey were also found “scraps of military uniform on some of the bodies, without the identity of the victims and the circumstances of their deaths being known.”

Thus, the number of mass graves discovered, as documented by the Observatorysince the fall of Al Assad Last December 8th is ten, with the remains of 1,482 victims.

The province where most have been found is in Homswith four containing remains of 1,220 corpses; and follows Ref Damascus (128 corpses), Exit (127 corpses) and, finally, Hamawith 7 bodies.

He Observatory called for an independent international investigation to uncover the identity of the victims and bring those responsible for these crimes to justice, to ensure that Authors held accountable.
