A witness to the multiple car accident in New Orleans: “Everyone started screaming and running”

The American media collects the testimonies of some witnesses to the multiple car accident that left 10 dead and 30 injured during the New Year’s Eve celebrations in New Orleans.

Meanwhile, a couple from Iowa, Jim and Nicole Mowrer, who were visiting New Orleans, told CBS News that they were enjoying the celebrations in the French Quarter when they saw a white truck go through a barricade “at high speed.”

“Once he passed by us, We heard gunshots and saw the police running in that direction.” Nicole said. “Once the shooting stopped, we went outside and found several people who had been hit. “We wanted to see what we could do to help.”

The Mowrers claimed that the victims they saw had injuries from the impact of the truck and that they saw no apparent gunshot wounds.
