Houthi leader admits for the first time that Iran is behind their attacks on Israel

The leader of the Houthi terrorist group Ansar Allah, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, in a video message released on Friday night, confirmed recent attacks on Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport, Nevatim Air Force Base and a power plant south of Jerusalem (neither one of which did not reach the goal – editor’s note). He also openly acknowledged Iranian support for the attacks for the first time.

In his video message, al-Houthi praises Iran for its “broad support for some movements in the Gaza Strip and Palestine and on other fronts.” According to the Emirati publication Al Ain, al-Houthi also mentioned the anniversary of the liquidation of the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Qassem Soleimani, highlighting the deceased’s enormous contribution to the creation of Iranian proxies throughout the region.

He also said that Israel’s missile attacks this week were nighttime, using “22 hypersonic ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones” and that the attacks “successfully drove millions of Israelis into bomb shelters.” Al-Houthi also boasted of successful attacks aimed at disrupting international shipping in the Red Sea.

The Houthi leader also threatened to continue and intensify attacks against Israel, saying that “any retaliatory strikes will not act as a deterrent and will not force the Houthis to stop.” He also downplayed the impact of Israeli strikes on the group’s positions, saying that “22 Israeli airstrikes on civilian targets killed seven people and injured 37.” Al-Houthi also said that the US and UK carried out 931 strikes on the group’s military targets, killing 106 people and injuring 314 more.
