Crime: After shots in Wilmersdorfer Bar: Two men in custody

After a life-threatening shooting at a 27-year-old in a bar in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, police officers have arrested two suspects. The 24- and 53-year-olds are in custody, as the public prosecutor and Berlin police announced on Friday. The authorities accuse the two of attempted murder, incitement to murder and a violation of the weapons law.

They are said to have ordered the 27-year-old to the bar at the beginning of December. The 53-year-old accused him of being responsible for his brother’s death. According to the information, an argument broke out.

The 53-year-old is said to have then given the 24-year-old a firearm; with the intent to fatally injure the other man. The authorities accuse the 24-year-old of asking the 27-year-old to the women’s toilet and shooting him five times – with intent to kill. The 27-year-old suffered a life-threatening bullet wound in the thigh area.

The 53-year-old then kicked the injured party with his foot. The two men are said to have left the bar, leaving the victim bleeding profusely. According to the authorities, they accepted that he would die. Police arrested the 24-year-old at the end of December and the 53-year-old on Thursday.
