6 candidates will take part in the preliminary elections of Parakar enlarged community of Armavir marz. They are: Arpine Arakelyan, Ludvig Gyulnazaryan, who resigned from the post of community leader after appearing in the criminal history, Karen Yeremyan, Mher Harutyunyan, Arman Mnatsakanyan, Gor Saribekyan.

The decision was made today at the meeting of the “Civil Contract” department, the Prime Minister announced on the social network.

The candidate who received the most votes in the primary elections will be appointed the acting head of the enlarged Parakar community.

After Gyumri, Parakar is the second place where Prime Minister Pashinyan will appoint the leader through primaries.

The reason for Ludvig Gulnazaryan’s resignation was the murder that took place in Yerevan on November 18, during which he was also injured in the leg.

Prime Minister Pashinyan’s team lost in the 2021 municipal elections in Parakar. The opposition “Aprelu Yerkir” party received the most votes with 10 mandates, but the “Civil Agreement” which received 6 mandates joined the “Davit Minasyan” alliance with 5 mandates and decided to rule the community in turn. Davit Minasyan led the community for 2.5 years, Ludvig Gulnazaryan – for 5 months.
