January is inventory month. But no coke bottles or suit trousers should be counted at London Zoo.
It will take a total of three days to count all the animals in London Zoo. In total there are 300 different animals: birds, mammals, fish, reptiles and amphibians. The employees enter the cages to take measurements. With elephants this is not that difficult. But if there is a row of penguins queuing, it is already a count. And shame on the student worker who works in the aquariums. After the count, the employees expect to arrive at 14,000 different animals. With or without plumes, scales or fur.
